How it started
From a room in Montevideo to 18 countries.
In 1999, Marcelo Tannús and Walter Díaz decided to put into code what they kept seeing in the meetings industry: too many spreadsheets, fragile processes, and operations that depended on whoever happened to open the event.
The first versions of what is now edn were built for a handful of local conference centres. The logic was simple: one place for everything, integrated, with reliable data and an interface that didn't need a manual.
Over the years, modules became products, products crossed the Atlantic, and the team grew multidisciplinary. Today we operate from Spain and Uruguay with clients across the Americas and Europe — but the principle is the same as on day one.

edn is founded
Marcelo and Walter found Eventos De Negocios in Montevideo. The first product — today's eConventionCenter — starts running in local conference centres.

First regional expansion
The platform reaches Argentina, Brazil, and Chile. A multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers joins.

One product becomes five
eCongressSuite, eTradeShowCompany, eBureau, and eMove are born. The suite now covers the full MICE chain, from the bureau to the transfer.

Pandemic: hybrid events
The industry reinvents itself. edn accompanies the transition to virtual and hybrid events and expands real-time capabilities.
